1 May 2007 - Stuart Visit - Fontilles

This was the first visit of Stuart, Michelle and Jack. Jack is just 6 months old, and we were concerned that our house was not really "child proof". We did what we could to make it child friendly, and just hoped it would be ok.

Our first day out was to visit the nearby leper hospital at Fontilles. It was built in the early 1900s and is today mainly a training school for doctors and nurses who will work overseas. I understand that they still have a few patients suffering from the discease.

Its a lovely, peaceful place and one we take most of our visitors to. The public are welcome, and can explore the grounds and visit the lovely old church.
