8 Oct 2007 - Advocat to Calpe

We were surprisd to find so many walkers when we arrived at the small harbour of Advocat. There were about 30, and most them unknown to Jan and I. For some time we have discussed the ideal size of the group, and almost all agreed no more than 20. A lot of strangers had been invited on this walk by a regular walker, and this prompted some bad feeling. We were pretty well unaware of it all, as it happened at the rear of the walk. But the end result was that a couple of regular walkers decided not to walk with us in future. Its a shame, but on the other hand if we don't keep the numbers down it will end up with huge numbers like the more popular CBMW walks.
