16 May 2007 - Granada Coach Trip

This half day visit to a sky resort in the nearby mountains was included in the coach trip. We were not warned to wear warm clothes, so we were quite surprised to find quite a lot of snow even in May. But it was cool, rather than cold, and were quite comfortable in shirt sleeves.

The journey took about an hour, but seemed much longer. The road was long and very winding. The coach laboured up, and up and up. Eventually we arrived at this quite large village which was pretty well empty. I assume it was too late for skiing and too early for ramblers. Whatever the reason most of the shops and cafe were closed, except for one very expensive cafe.

The short break made a pleasant change from walking around the busy streets of Granada.
